Our Yoga Teacher Training program is for yoga practitioners who have a love for yoga born out of practice. We help these practitioners develop the skills needed to share yoga with students as professional teachers.
Our program specializes in cultivating your skills as a communicator and a yoga teacher,
in addition to giving you a solid foundation in Tantric Hatha Yoga techniques and philosophy.
We accept students just beginning their teaching path, as well as certified teachers who want training focused strongly on developing teaching skills. If you already have a 200-hour Yoga Teaching certification, then please contact me for details and pricing.
You must meet the following requirements to take our program:
-
Be 18 years of age by the starting month of the training.
(at least six months of classes with a certified instructor).
-
The ability to demonstrate an experiential understanding
of yoga practice and its benefits.
-
Review the 200-hour Frequently Asked Questions page to see what past students asked before the training. If you have a question, please send it to William here.
-
Be in good physical condition, and accept personal responsibility for your safety during the training. We expect all students to be aware of the intensity of this training when applying, and to be smart with regard to their physical abilities. All students are considered for the training. Please ask if you feel you have a physical awareness that would limit your ability to be a yoga teacher, and we will explore possibilities.

The training is taught in nine intensive weekends
In Atlanta, we have certified 46 teachers since 2007.
Currently we offer training from July-December.
Minimum class size 8, maximum 24.
In Atlanta, our program runs with two Program Directors,
as well as 4-6 assistants, depending on program size
(one-to-three teacher/student ratio).
In the first half of the program, we will learn an effective methodology for teaching postures and pranayamas (breathing exercises). Then, over 6 weekends we study 24 postures, including modifications, variations and hands-on assisting techniques. You learn 5 pranayama techniques and practice consistently through the training weekend, so you have first hand experience with the appropriately applied pranayama experience can bring to your practice, to your students, and to your personal development as a human being.
In the second half of the program, students learn how to design and lead three kinds of classes: a vinyasa-workout class, a meditative-posture class, and a gentle-stretch class. Our graduating teachers are prepared to teach in a variety of settings, and are well-prepared to begin training in specialized yoga teaching and yoga therapy.
We will take a lunch break each day. Bring your meal, or visit a near-by eatery.
